Troubleshooting
The haptics aren't working
Go to Aera Settings → Feedback → Haptic Feedback and make sure it's toggled on. Also check that your iPhone's Ring/Silent switch isn't in silent mode and that System Haptics is enabled in iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics.
My session history is missing
Session history is stored locally on your device. If you switched devices, history won't transfer unless you have Aera Pro with iCloud sync enabled. History on the free tier shows the last 30 days.
Daily reminders aren't appearing
Check that Aera has notification permission: iOS Settings → Notifications → Aera → Allow Notifications. Also verify the reminder is enabled inside Aera Settings → Daily Reminder.
The app crashed or something isn't working right
Try force-quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall Aera (your session data will remain if iCloud sync is enabled). Email us at myaerasupport@gmail.com with a description of what happened and your iOS version.

Overview
Aera is designed with privacy as a default. The app requires no account, collects no personal information, and stores all your data on your device. We believe your breathing habits are private.
Data we collect
Aera does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- No name, email address, or contact information is ever requested or stored.
- No account or login is required.
- Session data (dates, cycle counts, mood ratings) is stored locally on your device only.
- No analytics SDKs or tracking libraries are included in the app.
- No advertising identifiers are accessed or used.
iCloud sync (Pro users, optional)
If you enable iCloud sync as an Aera Pro subscriber, your session data is synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This data is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. Aera has no access to your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs iCloud storage.
Subscriptions
Aera Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle or store any payment or billing information. Apple's privacy policy applies to all purchases.
Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, Aera uses iOS local notifications. These are scheduled on-device and do not involve any network request or external service.
Third-party services
Aera does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.
Children's privacy
Aera does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts and no data collection, making it safe for all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and note the change in the App Store release notes.

Aera is a breathing guidance tool. By using the app, you agree to use it as intended — as a wellness aid, not as a medical device or substitute for professional medical advice.
Medical disclaimer
The physiological sigh technique described in Aera is based on published scientific research. However, Aera is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. If you have a respiratory or cardiovascular condition, consult a physician before using any breathing exercise app.
Subscriptions
Aera Pro subscriptions are auto-renewing and billed through your Apple ID. Pricing is displayed before any purchase. You may cancel at any time through your iOS subscription settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.
Intellectual property
All content, design, and code in Aera is owned by the developer. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Limitation of liability
Aera is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.
